Yes, Private Limited company is Required to obtain GST Registration.  

GST registration is set to begin in India from 1st July, 2017. All persons classified as taxable person under GST are required to obtain GST registration and begin filing GST monthly returns from the month of September, 2017.
Documents required for Private Limited Company (Pvt Ltd)/Public Company (limited company)/One person company (OPC):
    - Company documents
  • PAN card of the company
  • Registration Certificate of the company
  • Memorandum of Association (MOA) /Articles of Association (AOA)
  • Copy of Bank Statement
  • Declaration to comply with the provisions
  • Copy of Board resolution
    - Director related documents
  • PAN and ID proof of directors
    - Registered Office documents
  • Copy of electricity bill/landline bill,  water Bill
  • No objection certificate of the owner
  • Rent agreement (in case premises are rented)

2. Documents required for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP):
    - LLP documents
  • PAN card of the LLP
  • Registration Certificate of the LLP
  • LLP Partnership agreement

-Do I need to be physically present during this process? 

No, new company registration is a fully online process. As all documents are filed electronically, you would not need to be physically present at all. You would need to send us scanned copies of all the required documents & forms. 

-How much time is needed for setting up a private limited company in India? 
If you have all the documents in order, it will take no longer than 15 days. However, this is dependent on the workload of the registrar. 

-What documents are required to complete the process? 
All directors must provide identity and address proof, as well as a copy of the PAN Card (for Indian Nationals) and Passport (for foreign nationals). No-objection Certificate must be submitted by the owner of the registered office premises. 

-What is a DSC?
